START A MORNING MENTORING PROGRAM IN YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY

In 2013, we started a free Saturday Morning camp in a local park in our community.

 

We played games, did activities, mentored students, and taught a lot about developing positive character.

 

Two years later in 2015, we took this same idea to a local elementary school where we developed, piloted, and refined our 3 Start Students™ curriculum.  Using the curriculum, we started a 6-week morning mentoring program that served 12-15 students each session. 

 

With the program, we saw grades increase and classroom interruptions decrease. Students also developed a sense of community among a diverse group of individuals and became peer leaders.
